Ondřej Drebota is returning as CEO of Entropiq, with new forces in business and gaming department as well.

The new year brings some “new” faces to our esports club, Entropiq. After a year and a half, Daniel Kloud is leaving his position as CEO and will be replaced by Ondřej Drebota, who was part of the first idea for the creation of the Entropiq esports organization in 2019.

“My mission at Entropiq is complete with the end of this year. I am grateful from the bottom of my heart for everything I’ve learned. I am thankful for all the emotions we shared and the friendships we made. It has been a very valuable experience in my life, and I am extremely grateful for it,” says Daniel Kloud on his departure.

Drebota, however, never completely left Entropiq. During his time on the team of presidential candidate Karel Janeček, he oversaw everything from his position as a member of Entropiq’s board.

I thank Dan for the work he did on Entropiq, there were a lot of it. But now we have new challenges ahead of us, and I am happy to be able to once again fully engage in what I enjoy and find most fulfilling. Entropiq still has a long way to go, but the vision remains the same. The goal is to be among the world’s best,” says Entropiq’s CEO.

Gaming Director Pavel Klaban will be assisted in developing the performance of his players by former professional hockey player André Lakos, who represented his native Austria at the 2002 and 2014 Olympic Games. He finished his career in the Czech first ice hockey league team Kladno and from there it was only a short walk to Prague, where Entropiq is based.

I was a professional ice hockey player for over 20 years, it was time for a change for me, I saw tremendous potential and excitement to be a leading brand in the world of esports in Entropiq. My goal is to help players achieve their maximum potential and to understand what it takes to reach the top as an individual and as a team. We will be focussing a lot on the aspect team and recruit players specifically to fit within each other like a missing puzzle piece. Esport is still in its first stages, has a bright future ahead, and I am very excited to be part of it.”

Darima Batorova, who comes with experience from her position as Head of Sales of the very successful and largest bike sharing project in the Czech Republic “Rekola“, will be helping to improve the business results.

“It is a great pleasure for me to become a part of Entropiq. I thank Dan for the results so far. I am humbled to take over such strong partners. It’s a great starting point. I have been following the development of esports for a long time as a CS:GO enthusiast. I look forward to the new partners that will push Entropiq and bring benefits to the gaming community – internationally.”

“Entropiq’s long term goal is to grow and establish itself in all the game titles we have players in. Esport is a very dynamic environment, and I am confident that with new faces we will be able to fulfil our long-term vision of achieving better results in the professional gaming field even better. Esport is increasingly penetrating the mainstream worldwide, and we are aware that we must not let ourselves “miss the boat”. That’s why it’s important to have experienced industry professionals on our team,” Drebota says.
