Scam Alert: Battle against scammers and cybercriminals starts now

Entropiq, in collaboration with Česká spořitelna, is launching a new program called Scam Alert. In this 12-part series, we will show how to avoid being scammed and how to turn the tables on scammers in games like Minecraft, Fortnite, CS, LoL, and many others.

In Fortnite alone, there are around 50,000 scams every month, with tens of thousands more occurring in other online games. In the best-case scenario, players lose a few items from their inventory, but in the worst case, they could lose their entire game account, real money, sensitive data, passwords, and logins from their PC, or even access to their bank account.

Mostly, it’s younger, trusting players or newcomers who haven’t yet grasped how the game works and can’t easily spot the scam at first glance.

There’s a whole array of tricks scammers use, many of which are difficult to spot even for experienced players at first glance. That’s why it’s essential to know them and understand how to behave safely in the game.
