Masters Tour: Jobsad Tags Out With Five Wins

July 18, 2020

Josef "Jobsad" Smutný added two wins and two losses to his name, finishing Masters Tour Asia-Pacific Online with a 5-4 overall record for a $1,000 payday.

Hearthstone major continued Saturday morning with Entropiq's Jobsad back in action following his three-win session on Day 1. Jobsad was looking to repeat his 6-3 result from the previous stop, but he would fall on win short of that.

The four swiss pairings slated for Day 2 saw Jobsad play very close matches, all of them coming down to the fifth inning. Jobsad took down two of the first three before meeting with a fellow Czech player Matyáš "Matty" Kalužný in the last round.

Jobsad and Matty entered the final match with five wins apiece and the Entropiq ambassador had a sharper start to the contest, taking a 2-1 lead with two favorable matchups on the horizon.

"Matty, however, kept hitting the top of his deck to stay in it. When it looked to be over, he binked a 1-in-7 chance. Otherwise, I'd have closed it out and finished at 6-3," Jobsad said about his last match.

Jobsad's stat recap:

Warlock: 7 wins, 6 losses, no bans

Demon Hunter: 4 wins, 6 losses, three bans

Warrior: 5 wins, 2 losses, three bans

Hunter: 4 wins, 3 losses, three bans

With five wins in nine matches, Jobsad secured $1,000 while Matty, along with Jarla, BlizzconJan and Pardub, took home $2,250 for six wins. As was reported earlier, Entropiq's Oldřich "Faeli" Mahdal missed the cut on Day 1.
